This design, inspired by the wide striping found on ocean buoys, is knit in the style of a traditional pair of Danish mittens. The American wool blend is shorn, spun and dyed in the United States and the Icelandic yarn in Iceland.
Mohair, a breed of goat originating from Anatolia, adds softness and shine to the yarn. For more information on mohair please see this link from The Mohair Council of America.
As with all of our 100% natural yarns, this wool is both beautiful and a true technical wonder in that it performs well under adverse weather conditions. This particular 20/30/50 blend is suitable for less severe weather compared to much of our other offerings.
Our products are made with the highest quality material that can be passed down through families.
